Drive Across Colorado
As we began our drive back home from our trip out west, a visit to Colorado was a must. I was born at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado. My dad was in the army and moved back to their hometown (Seiverville, TN) after being wounded in the Vietnam War. I was only a few months old and had never been back until this trip at age 52. It was a quick drive through visit with my mom. I wanted to see the home they lived in and where I was born. That was able to happen. I had hoped to see Pikes Peak, but it was rainy and all socked in. However, I found that Colorado is a beautiful state, especially around Gunnison and Cotopaxi. Learn more about our visit:
