Parrot Mountain - Pigeon Forge, TN

This is one of my favorite attractions in our county. Remember Sevier County is my hometown.  We have been going here since my daughter was about 10.  She is now 23 and works there.  It is a great place for field trips, family outings, and just a pleasant stop on your visit to our area.  You will find hundreds of birds.  They feature a garden where you can hold, feed, and get your photos with the birds.  There is a cool area with Lorrie's where you can prepurchase nectar to feed.  Enjoy a gorgeous walk through their gardens.  And the nursery, which just happens to be where my daughter works, is a place to experience baby birds and even purchase if you wish.  It is a bit of a challenge to walk if you have any mobility issues, but please know they do offer golf cart tours which is a great way to see everything and have a guide with you.  Don't forget your phone...you will want loads of videos and photos!  Also know the drive up the mountain is short but steep.  If that scares you, they do offer to take you up on their shuttle, you just need to pre-arrange that.

It is a great visit here whether you’re 2 years old or 90 years young.  It is nestled on four acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. Hundreds and hundreds of beautiful tropical birds and thousands and thousands of flowers and plants and trees will be found here.  It is more than a visit, it is an experience.  Even on rainy days, there’s so much to do under cover out of the rain. Plus, the birds LOVE the rain!  They have a great gift show, a wonderful cafe, and a great outdoor eating area to enjoy the views and the calls of the birds while you dine.
